Surface Chlorophyll Variability in the California Current
- Using 8-day global 4 km data from MODIS-Aqua processed with
standard Chl-a algorithms
- The time span 2002-07-04 to 2008-03-12 excludes the
strong 1997/1998 El Nino. This may actually be good as the exceptionally
strong El Nino event is probably not typical and a short period including 1997/1998
would over-emphasize that exceptional event.
